Hannah & Thomas in Franklin, TN

Hannah & Thomas in Franklin, TN
Hannah and Thomas's elegant Franklin affair didn't require much work. The holiday season took care of much of the decor.

Location: The Factory at Franklin, Franklin
Hannah walked down the aisle in an ivory strapless gown with ribbon trim along the neckline and bottom hem and a custom-made veil with the same ribbon detailing.
Hannah and Thomas shared their first dance to "Come Rain or Come Shine" by Frank Sinatra. "We were on the dance floor pretty much the whole time," says Hannah, "having a great time."
In addition to the three-tiered vanilla wedding cake covered in strawberries, blackberries, raspberries, and blueberries, Hannah and Thomas indulged guests with a chocolate groom‘s cake and a birthday cake for Hannah‘s grandmother.
Instead of tossing her bouquet during the reception, Hannah chose to follow the Turkish/Greek shoe signing tradition. "The bridesmaids sign the bottom of the bride‘s shoe and the bridesmaid whose name is rubbed off the most at the end of the night is the next to get married!" Hannah explains. On her feet the whole night, it was a stiff competition.
Red roses and Christmas decor spiced up Hannah and Thomas' black-and-white winter wedding in the historic city of Franklin.

Ironically, Thomas spent almost as much time planning the proposal as Hannah did planning the wedding. With the help of Hannah's friends, family, coworkers, and even her supervisors, Thomas organized a surprise trip to San Diego -- Hannah's "favorite place in the country." The couple had spoken about getting married, but Thomas convinced her that he didn't have enough money for a ring. As they walked barefoot along the beach in San Diego after a romantic dinner, Tommy wrapped his arms around Hannah. "I could feel his heart pounding, so I could tell he was about to ask," she says. Women's intuition proved right -- Thomas got down on his knee, pulled the ring out of his pocket, and asked Hannah to marry him.
